Get outdoors in our local natural world, support Houston Wilderness' efforts to protect, preserve, and promote our ten ecoregions, and help offer Houston area students the opportunity to learn about the outdoors.

2018's Great Green Quest features two exciting innovations focused on environmental stewardship:

Houston Wilderness collaborated with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Houston Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership to develop the brand new Green Jobs Passport. In addition to information on exploring Houston's 10 diverse and beautiful ecoregions,

Houston Wilderness is excited to announce a new "Careers in Conservation" graduate-level scholarship program that will be open to interns and staff of our Network Partner organizations. Contributors to 2018's Quest will have the option to sponsor a $1,000 scholarship for promising interns interested in pursuing graduate-level work in an environmental field.

Of course, the key to getting students and their parents outdoors this summer is our School Sponsorship Program that enables Houston Wilderness to continue growing in our mission to deliver more Wilderness Passports to deserving students at HISD and other Houston-area and suburban schools.

2018's Great Green Quest is a great opportunity to get yourself and deserving students outdoors. Sign up for the Quest and you will receive a Wilderness Packet with all of the information you need to get outdoors exploring Greater Houston's 10 diverse ecoregions.
